Investment Analyst
Role Overview
The Investment Analyst will support the evaluation and monitoring of public and private investments across the family balance sheet. The role suits someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys detailed work and is comfortable working in a small, focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain quantitative and qualitative analysis on existing managers and direct holdings across asset classes.
- Contribute to screening of new opportunities through financial modelling and scenario analysis, and summarise findings in concise recommendation notes.
- Maintain clean, consistent data across portfolio systems so that risk and performance reporting remains reliable.
- Assist with periodic reporting, including materials for investment committee discussions and family review meetings.
- Track market developments and provide brief updates relevant to the family’s positioning and pipeline.
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in investment banking, investment management, private equity, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial modelling skills and confidence working with large data sets in Excel or similar tools.
- Clear, concise written communication, with the ability to distil complex information into short decision papers.
- Demonstrated interest in public and private markets and a long‑term, research‑driven approach to investing.
- Progress towards, or interest in, a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA) is an advantage.
